This nifty thing here is the Thunder Air Compressor. We fitted ours into the back of our Toyota Landcruiser 200 Series.
The motor, we fitted behind this set of drawers and then the outlets over here with this accessory panel so it’s easily accessible to inflate things like air mattresses, pool toys like Florence and even car tyres when you’re enjoying the great outdoors.
The compressor can produce 150L of air per minute. It has a 6L air tank that we’ve mounted under the vehicle. It comes with an 8mm air line that enables you to blow up mattresses inside the tent or pump up your tyres.
It’s got an inflator and a deflator and a gauge so it’s perfect for when you let your tyres down on the beach and then need to pump them up again once you get off. It also features a standard 3/8 of an inch female Nitto air fitting on the tank and the compressor so you can use your standard air hose.
The compressor automatically cuts in and out to keep the air tank full and ready to go. The compressor comes standard like this one here with the air tank attached to the motor.
The beauty of the Thunder is that the pump and tank can be separated allowing you to mount the tank under the car and the pump inside the vehicle like we’ve done.
