Recently we replaced a Toyota Prado Alternator:

The customer was having issues with the battery not charging in their Toyota Prado. After testing the vehicle, we identified that the alternator needed to be replaced. If your alternator needs replacing the car may present with one of the following signs.

  • Warning light on the dash (usually the battery light)
  • Dead Battery
  • Headlights are dim
  • Car loses power while driving

If your car is presenting with any of the above symptoms we recommend you get it checked out by an Auto Electrician as soon as possible. If the alternator is damaged and isn’t fixed or replaced it can destroy your battery. Under some circumstances in modern cars with computer controlled alternators, damage can be done to the electronics.
