Enerdrive Lithium Battery System on a Majestic Knight Caravan

We recently worked on this Majestic Knight Caravan, installing Enerdrive Lithium Battery System. The customer wanted to be able to travel around Australia with all the modern luxuries of home (including the coffee machine), without having to rely on 240V power at caravan parks. The lithium battery system we installed in this caravan is specifically designed for caravanners who want to be entirely self-sufficient for power while on the road.

Here’s an overview of what we installed:

• Enerdrive ePOWER B-TEC LiFeP04 12v 200Ah Lithium Battery
• Enerdrive DC2DC 40+ charger
• Enerdrive 2000 Watt Inverter
• 60A Tri star Morningstar Solar Regulator
• Enerdrive 40A 240 Volt charger.

The Install:

To start, the technicians removed the two existing AGM batteries from the caravan and replaced them with an Enerdrive ePOWER B-TEC 200Ah Lithium Battery.

Next, the technicians installed the Enerdrive DC2DC 40+ battery charger and Enerdrive 40A 240 Volt Smart Charger and wired them to the new Lithium Battery.

The DC2DC Charger was also wired up to the tow hitch so the lithium battery system could be charged from the vehicle when driving via an Anderson Plug.

The technician then installed the Enerdrive 2000W Inverter and connected it into the lithium battery system. We also fitted an Anderson Plug on the outside of the caravan for solar input via the DC2DC charger.

To finish up we then installed an Anderson Plug on the customer’s tow vehicle (Ford Ranger) and wired it to the vehicle battery via a heavy-duty ignition relay.
