In September 2008 – sick of the traffic and city smog – Andrew & Briohny moved to the Sunshine Coast.

As a qualified auto electrician and mechanic, Andrew started up his own mobile Auto Electrical business – Accelerate Mobile Auto Electrics.

Since then, Accelerate Auto Electrics & Air Conditioning has grown from ‘one man in a van’ to employing over 15 staff and opening a massive workshop on Trinder Ave in the heart of Maroochydore, as well as opening up our very own Shopify store over at Accelerate Off-Grid Touring… and we’re still growing!

The team at Accelerate are dedicated to the business and ensuring our customers have a positive experience with us. We are committed to continual growth and strive to be the leaders in our industry.

Meet the Team

Our team is the heart and soul of our business, they are young and fun there isn’t a day that goes by that a prank isn’t played, or someone in the workshop isn’t singing along to 90’s pop songs. We also hold team social events monthly, recently we have been bowling, to laser zone, indoor rock climbing, lawn bowls, skirmish and even the local aqua park.

Weirdest Job you’ve done: Car would not start after a customer replaced his own battery. Turns out he had left the plastic caps on the battery and connected the terminals over them.

Favourite thing to when you’re not at work: Snowboarding, when it’s the right time of year.

What’s your life motto?: Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Best thing about your job: Seeing and working on all the different vehicle setups, whether they be a tradie’s ute or camping layout.

Favourite thing to do when you’re not working: Camping in the patrol and gaming with my mates.

Best car care tip: Don’t have a go or let your mate have a go at fixing things. You will probably make it worse, which will cost more in the long run.
