Recently we completed a Gidget Caravan 12V Power System Upgrade

We’ve recently worked on this Gidget Caravan. We upgraded their 12 Volt Power System so they can power up their next adventure no matter where they set up for the night.

Here’s an overview of what system components we upgraded:

• Enerdrive DC2DC 40+ Battery Charger
• Enerdrive ePower 2000 Watt Inverter
• Thunder 20A Battery Charger
• 105ah RACQ AGM Battery
• Grey Anderson Plug
• Cable Upgrade to 8 B&S

The Install:

To start the technician had to remove the old battery charger, inverter, solar regulator and all undersized cable. Once that was out we could then rewire the set up with the upgraded components.

First in was the Enerdrive DC2DC 40+ with solar input this allows the customer to charge the auxiliary battery via the vehicle or solar panel. Next was the Enerdrive ePower 2000 Watt Inverter.

After that, we installed the Thunder 20A Battery Charger so the customer can also charge the batteries from 240V power.

Finally, we installed a grey Anderson Plug on the drawbar of the trailer to connect up an external folded solar panel.
