Today we completed a Holden Colorado RG Towing Set Up 

This customer had recently purchased a new caravan and needed to get their vehicle set up for safe towing. For this Holden Colorado RG Towing Set Up, we installed: 

• Redarc TowPro Elite V3
• Enerdrive VSR 
• UHF
• 12 Pin Trailer Plug
• Grey Anderson Plugs
• LLA LED Headlight Kit

Many of the parts were supplied to us by the customer, we just needed to install them as per the customer’s request.  We installed the Redarc TowPro Elite dial and UHF in the centre console using Lightforce panel that was supplied by the customer. 

The grey Anderson plug we installed on the tow bar is used for the charging circuit that runs cables from the vehicle to the caravan. This connection used to charge the batteries in the caravan via the car’s starting battery while driving. The batteries are separated via the Enerdrive VSR which protects the vehicle’s starting battery from going flat when the vehicle is not running. To read more about Anderson Plugs, click here!

We also included an extra Anderson Plug in the tub of the vehicle so the customer as another power output to run a fridge or charge another auxiliary battery while driving. 

Another unique thing we did for this install was to connect in the customers garage remote to a switch on the dash.
