Today we completed a custom 1970 Holden Kingswood HT Series AC System installation…

This 1970 Holden Kingswood HT Series came into us because the customer wanted an AC system installed. The Kingswood did not have an existing AC system so we had to create a whole new system to install.  Here’s a break down of what we installed. 

First up we mounted the Condenser and fan using brackets that we custom made and painted. We also created the shroud to house the fan and fitted it to the vehicle. 

Next up we created a custom built AC Compressor bracket and tensioner mounting bracket. We then installed the rest of the components including the compressor, hoses and fittings. The crank pulley was also modified to suit the new compressor. The unit containing the rest of the major components was supplied by the customer and fitted inside the vehicle under the passenger side dash. 

Once all the components of the AC System were installed we completed an AC Service which includes a re-gas with R134A gas and UV dye. After a few adjustments here and there, the AC system was up and running in the Kingswood.
