Today we completed a Mitsubishi Challenger KH Towing Set Up

For this Mitsubishi Challenger KH towing set up, we installed: 

• Redarc TowPro Elite Electric Brake Controller
• Enerdrive ePower VSR (Voltage Sensitive Relay) 
• Grey Anderson Plug
• Fridge Wiring to 12 Pin Plug
• Red Anderson Plug
• Safety Dave Rear Vision Camera 

The Redarc Towpro Elite is a very popular towing device, The Electric Brake controller works by monitoring how hard the vehicle is braking and applies a proportional amount of braking to the trailer to suit that application at the time. You can read more about the Tow-Pro Elite here!

The grey Anderson plug is used for the charging circuit that runs cables from the vehicle to the caravan. This connection used to charge the batteries in the caravan via the car’s starting battery while driving. The batteries are separated using the Enerdrive ePower VSR which protects the vehicle’s starting battery from going flat when the vehicle is not running.

We also installed a red Anderson plug which in this circumstance, is used to power the ESC (Electronic Stability Controller) on the customer’s caravan To read more about Anderson Plugs, click here!

We also upgraded the factory-standard trailer plug to a 12 Pin plug for added versatility. We also ran wiring for the fridge power supply so the customer can keep their fridge in the caravan powered while driving. 

Lastly, we installed a Safety Dave Rear Vision Camera on the dash that allows the driver to see what is behind the caravan when driving and reversing.
