Volkswagen Transporter Cabin Filter & Blower Fan Replacement

This Volkswagen Transporter came into us because the air conditioning wasn’t working. After pressure testing the system and inspecting for leaks we discovered the cabin filter and blower fan needed replacing.

The cabin filter (also known as pollen filter) is a feature on most modern vehicles. It cleans the air that comes into the interior of the car and filters out pollen, dust and other airborne material.

Over time the cabin filter can become clogged with dust, leaves, twigs and residue from exhaust fumes. When the filter is blocked it can put unnecessary strain on your AC blower motor. Left clogged or blocked, it could potentially cause costly problems to your vehicle’s AC system. We recommend getting your cabin filter replaced at least every 2 years.

Your car air conditioning system is made up of lots of loads of working parts like:

  • Compressor
  • Condensor
  • Receiver Drier
  • Expansion Valve
  • Evaporator
  • Hoses

Once we replaced the cabin filter and blower fan, we completed an AC Service which includes a re-gas with R134A gas and UV dye. Now the Volkswagen Transporter has icy cold air conditioning for summer.

If your AC isn’t working as well as it used to, or if there are some funky smells coming from the AC, it might be time to get your cabin filter changed. Give our team a call to book your AC check on 07 5479 6652.
