Recently we fitted out a Mercedes Sprinter with an Off-Grid Dual Battery System and 12 volt Electrics.

On this Mercedes Sprinter Off-Grid Dual Battery System we installed:

• 2x Sentry 125Ah AGM Batteries
• Enerdrive DC2DC 40+ Battery Charger
• Enerdrive 40A ePower 240V Smart Charger
• Safety Dave Rear Vision Camera Kit
• Anderson Plugs
• Cigarette Sockets
• Switch Board with Voltmeter
• Interior lighting (customer supplied)
• Solar Panel (customer supplied)

First Stage of the Install:

This customer is fitting out their van to do a trip around Australia, so they brought in their van to get the electrics installed before continuing on with their interior build.

To start with the technician installed the customer’s solar panels on the roof of the vehicle using custom made mounting brackets. Next, we fitted the 2 AGM batteries (in boxes) into the vehicle, as well as the Enerdrive 240V Charger and DC2DC Charger. Once that was all wired in, the technician installed the customer’s interior lights and wired up the existing fan/skylight to the master switch panel we installed. All existing electrics were wired into the switch panel and a Dual USB and Voltmeter were also wired in. These will all be installed in a cupboard at a later date.

Lastly, we installed a Safety Dave Rear Vision Camera Kit. This consists of a Mirror-Style Monitor in the cab of the vehicle, and a square style camera fitted to the roof at the rear of the vehicle. This allows for much greater visibility when reversing, making it much easier to get into those tight camping spots.

While the vehicle was here, our technicians also completed an AC service on the vehicle to ensure the customers are travelling in comfort.

Second Stage of the Install:

After the customer had completed some more internal carpentry and panelling we got the van back in to install some electrical switches, battery monitors and an Enerdrive e-Pro 2000W Inverter.
