Today we’re going to show you through a new little toy that we’ve got in the workshop. It’s actually so cool that we’ve got one for the workshop and one for each of our Mobile Technicians.

It’s this little baby here, a Lithium Jump Starter Power Bank from Thunder. It weighs 615 grams, the same as this bottle of water, and has as much initial grunt as this 20 kilo car battery.

It produces 600 Cold Crank Amps, enough power to jump start loads of cars. Instead of carrying around jumper leads, our Mobile Technicians now just carry one of these. If you’re heading out bush or up the beach and you get a flat battery, there’s no need to wait for a passing car to jump start you, if you have a Thunder Jump Starter Power Bank in the glove box.

So we’ve decided to put it to the test and the boys have been taking bets on how many cars it can jump start before it needs a recharge. We’ve raided our scrap battery pile and fitted all of the cars here with flat batteries. So let’s go.

So how cool was that?  Not only is this good for jump starting cars,

it also comes with a torch at the end there. It’s got a Constant, a Flashing Mode, and also an S-O-S Mode. You’ve got two USB ports here for charging all of you gadgets, an adapter that you can plug in so you can put a cigarette socket into there, and there’s also an output and adapters for charging laptops.
