Hi guys, Andrew here from Accelerate Auto Electrics and Air Conditioning on the Sunshine Coast.
So, some exciting news. We’ve become the Queensland distributors for BMPRO and SETEC.
What that means is, we can get products like this…

So what this is, this is the new BMPRO Battery Plus 35HA. And the cool news about it is lithium compatible. Most caravanners have got, I think up to 70% of caravans in Australia have got either the genius pro or the earlier versions of this. What we can do, is we can retrofit those now with the HA. The HA pretty much does everything.
So it’s a full battery management system. It’ll do auxiliary input from your Anderson plugs with a VSR built-in. So that means it’ll protect your start battery. It’ll take up to 450 watts of solar with an inbuilt MPPT solar regulator. And it will also give you a 30 Amp 240 Volt charger.
The other cool thing about it is it’ll plug into the TREK display panel. What the TREK display panel will do is it will monitor up to four water tanks. It will give you a solar, auxiliary, and 240V ins and outs. So it’s a full battery amp meter and it will also tell you the time remaining. It’s got some cool controls on it so you can put the van into sleep mode. So via this you can turn it on and off in sleep mode and you can also operate your water tank. The other thing it’ll do is to programme it to lithium, you’ll need the TREK.
But we found this really common retrofit. Because once we replace this, all we need to do is put a lithium battery in there and you’ve got yourself a lithium van. If you’ve got any more questions about the BMPRO system, give us a call on 1300 227 353. Email us at info@amae.net.au or comment below.
i have a new Age Mantra-Ray MR16ES2 NO SOLAR when i charge the battery the panel reads battery at resting is 12.6 and when charged it reads 13.5. that seems okay, but the charge bar only seems to read 3-4 bars. is this okay or do i have a problem,Because i live in victoria i have not been able to travel,Please Advise
This is a tricky one to answer. Voltage wise, this is within spec.
Bar graphs reading incorrectly could be numerous things from incorrect settings in the monitor itself (Battery Amperage wise) or just a case the system needs to see a full cycle to correct re calculate.
It’s hard to tell exactly without seeing the system in person. We’d suggest getting an Auto Electrician or 12V specialist to inspect the system.
Hi I have the battery plus 35HA system in my New Age Oz Classic 20es4 which I picked up in August and want to add 2 more 150w solar panels on it.
Will this system handle it ? Is the 100am Lithium battery big enough ?
Battery plus35ha can only handle a maximum of 420w of solar. A 100ah Lithium battery is great but hard to say if it is big enough without knowing the full specficiations on the applications you wish to use it in.
