As these Rams become more and more popular, we’re getting more and more questions about dual battery systems, because obviously everybody’s setting them up for touring and wants to run a fridge.
On this, normally we fit them underneath the backseat, there’s a good cavity there for us. But this one’s actually got the sub woofer upgrade, that’s factory in them, so that sort of caught us out.
So what we’ve done is actually nice and easy, we’ve dropped this 125Ah AGM battery here on a tray, they’ve got a bit of ledge because of the wheel arch, lends itself quite nicely to this.
We’ve fitted a REDARC 1225D to charge it, mini fuses, solar input, and then that all runs down to an Anderson plug in the tray for his fridge.
